Comfortable accommodations are a key component of an effective study abroad program.  With the goal of providing a variety of options for our students’ needs,  the Sucre Spanish School offers three possibilities for housing in Sucre: 1) family home-stays 2) students’ apartments, and 3) hostal&hotels.

Family homestays

The family home-stay option is intended for those students who want to maximize their learning—not only in terms of Spanish, but also in bolivian culture—by sharing in the daily life of the family. Participation in the family life,  having the opportunity to consistently practice the Spanish that is learned in class.
All of Sucre Spanish School’s host families are carefully selected to provide the support and comfort necessary for a pleasant and enriching stay. 
Each student will always have his/her own private room and will share bathroom facilities with the family. 

Cost per day with breakfast and lunch:  USD $ 12

Stay in our School!

The school has a couple of rooms for our language students. You will stay in our beautiful colonial school house with a nice patio. You don’t have to walk far to your classes.  Furthermore you stay with other language students who share the same objective about improving their Spanish. So if you want you can follow our unwritten house rule to speak only Spanish if possible so that you have a 100% language immersion. Jhonny, our academic director, also lives in the school house. He is happy to help you with your Spanish even after classes.

We offer breakfast and you can use our kitchen if you want to cook something. advantage

Hostels and Hotels

The Sucre Spanish School maintains relationships and discounts with various hotels throughout the city to provide those accommodations most desirable to its students. Upon request we also offer shared bedrooms in hostels and upper class hotels.

Independent

We help you to find an independent room or small apartment with full furniture according to your needs.

Free Airport Pick-Up:

In Sucre: We will gladly greet you at the airport provided we have a minimum of a two days’ notice. This include your flight number, airline, date and time of your arrival. A representative of the Institute will wait for you at the exit for flight arrivals with a sign bearing your name. We will then drive you to your family or chosen hotel. The next day a family member or a school correspondent will explain you how to get to the school. This is a free service for our students.
